oh such a lucky man i am to have such a beautiful wife rooting for the giants...
in light of recent events i decided to post this photo from this past summer. any baseball fan can appreciate this moment on two aspects: first, this was the first ever baseball game for our twins and, second, this was randy johnson's 299th win. although our boys will not remember the events of the evening, they will always be able to say: "yeah, my first game was when the unit pitched his 299th. it was supposed to be his first bid for 300 but the offense couldn't give him the extra run he needed for the decision in seattle the week before. we sat right behind the plate. my brother and i pooped and took a nap. papa had a blast." yep. i did have a blast. i remember missing half the game changing diapers, strolling around the ballpark to calm one baby after the other, making bottles, and standing in separate lines for a shaboygan, garlic fries and lemonade for my wife. of course the highlight was the inning and a half in which i held a sleeping baby peacefully, having to stifle my cheers and heckles to a minimum lest i disturb the tranquility. games come and go, even to the point that they blur together simply into either a night game or a day game, but this inning and a half definitely hovers above the eight and a half i spent at the ballpark rooting jonathan sanchez and his no-hitter. only six more weeks until pitchers and catchers report for camp...

i have a cold and i can't sleep...
... so i decided to post a couple pictures. my old/new computer should be up by this weekend (which means no more sharing power cords with my wife) and i should be able to publish more more of my photography. anyways, one of my many goals for 2010 is to tell me wife that i love her 2010 times by year's end. that and use our waffle maker 94 more times. sounds reasonable.

what papa does when left with two babies in ninety-something degree weather...
ingredients:
2 bumbo chairs (courtesy of babies 'r' us gift cards)
2 rice packs (courtesy of grandma)
2 diapers (for sanitary reasons)
2 naked half-filipino babies (courtesy of one super hotttt wife)
1 (or more) unfinished house project(s) (courtesy of the 2nd bedroom upgrade due to persistent requests/demands by one super hotttt wife)
so begins the puzzle as to how to get to it...
in the meanwhile, papa is lining drawers with contact paper.
then the folding of the laundry begins.

NEW VISITATION RULES
due to recent events, i am imposing a paternal decree:
THERE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY NO VISITORS ALLOWED WITHOUT MY CONSENT. DO NOT BOTHER ON PLANNING TO COME VISIT IF YOU ARE OR HAVE RECENTLY BEEN SICK OR ILL AS I WILL TURN YOU AWAY FROM OUR DOOR. I DO NOT CARE IF YOU HAVE SEEN A DOCTOR AND HAVE BEEN MEDICALLY CLEARED, I WILL NOT ALLOW YOU INTO OUR HOME IF I DEEM YOU UNFIT. THIS IS NON-NEGOTIABLE.
MEMBERS OF THE FIRST PRESIDENCY OR THE QUORUM OF THE TWELVE APOSTLES OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS ARE EXCEPTIONS.
in other words, the fact that these babies are my sons outweighs the fact that they are your classmates, cousins, friends, godsons, grandsons, neighbors, nephews, patients, students, uncles, wards, etc. the disregard to my previous attempts to keep sickly people away, in combination with the inconsideration of some of our previous visitors to my house rules, has landed both of my newborns through the emergency room and into hospital beds. they have been sick for nearly half their lifetime and they are not even a month old. for the time being, i will be stern and quick to offend and i will no longer be evasive or be sensitive to your feelings if you do not respect our wishes. please use common sense - STAY AWAY IF YOU ARE SICK - and please do not be selfish. IF YOU DISAGREE WITH ME ON THIS MATTER OR FEEL I AM OVERLY CAUTIOUS, YOU ARE MOST CERTAINLY NOT WELCOME TO OUR HOME AND DO NOT BOTHER ASKING TO VISIT OUR SONS AS YOU CLEARLY DO NOT HAVE OUR SONS' BEST INTENTIONS IN MIND. my priority is the happiness of my wife and the safety and health of my babies, not your convenience. thank you for your concerns and understanding.

missing big brother with his beautiful mama...Sunday, October 26, 2008
although this post has nothing to with my beautiful wife, i declare to the world that i love her and i can be cheesy as macaroni...
to those who have found it a little bit more difficult being a latter-day saint in california in this election season, the link below may be found useful. it is a talk given by elder robert d. hales this recent general conference.
http://www.lds.org/conference/talk/display/0,5232,23-1-947-22,00.html
although the talk was primarily aimed at the adversities of religious contentions, those of us living in california (and i include the denizens of arizona and florida due to their similar circumstances) may find the words of elder hales applicable to the political situations that we are entrenched in. remember, sticks and stones...

bug-sitting
so this past weekend my wife and i had the opportunity to have niece #6 accompany us while her mother was off in florida for work. this baby was so well-behaved that she never even woke me up once in my nightly slumber i spent a good amount of time bouncing her on the bed and the photos below are some of the results. also, niece#6 has grown so much that i was able to use her as a twenty-something pound weight for curls and lifts and such.

easter eggs
today, being easter and all, my wife and i decided to do some egg coloring. we each had five eggs to color and the photos below contain the end results (mine are on the top row and the second row belongs to my wife). according to her, her favorite of mine appears to be the purple confetti while my favorite of hers is the cracked red labeled "fix me".

my beautiful wife finally has a flaw
i can not believe that my wife is a closet "american idol" fan. after nearly three months of marriage, her true colors have finally exposed themselves. i still love her although as i type this, she has not acknowledged the fact that i am sitting next to her. yep. she has it tivoed and she is now in the middle of a second episode for the evening. she is even shouting "stop your crying you emo baby!" and "what a whiner!" and "ugg-city!" at the contestants. apparently, she is rooting for the filipino girl (yeah, like i care that a contestant is filipino even though said filipino is going to run the table) and that is the sole reason why she is watching this.
now in a third episode, my wife has tried to explain as to why she suspects one of the female contestants is mormon. i love her so i still sit next to her.
