NEW VISITATION RULES

due to recent events, i am imposing a paternal decree:

THERE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY NO VISITORS ALLOWED WITHOUT MY CONSENT. DO NOT BOTHER ON PLANNING TO COME VISIT IF YOU ARE OR HAVE RECENTLY BEEN SICK OR ILL AS I WILL TURN YOU AWAY FROM OUR DOOR. I DO NOT CARE IF YOU HAVE SEEN A DOCTOR AND HAVE BEEN MEDICALLY CLEARED, I WILL NOT ALLOW YOU INTO OUR HOME IF I DEEM YOU UNFIT. THIS IS NON-NEGOTIABLE.

MEMBERS OF THE FIRST PRESIDENCY OR THE QUORUM OF THE TWELVE APOSTLES OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS ARE EXCEPTIONS.

in other words, the fact that these babies are my sons outweighs the fact that they are your classmates, cousins, friends, godsons, grandsons, neighbors, nephews, patients, students, uncles, wards, etc. the disregard to my previous attempts to keep sickly people away, in combination with the inconsideration of some of our previous visitors to my house rules, has landed both of my newborns through the emergency room and into hospital beds. they have been sick for nearly half their lifetime and they are not even a month old. for the time being, i will be stern and quick to offend and i will no longer be evasive or be sensitive to your feelings if you do not respect our wishes. please use common sense - STAY AWAY IF YOU ARE SICK - and please do not be selfish. IF YOU DISAGREE WITH ME ON THIS MATTER OR FEEL I AM OVERLY CAUTIOUS, YOU ARE MOST CERTAINLY NOT WELCOME TO OUR HOME AND DO NOT BOTHER ASKING TO VISIT OUR SONS AS YOU CLEARLY DO NOT HAVE OUR SONS' BEST INTENTIONS IN MIND. my priority is the happiness of my wife and the safety and health of my babies, not your convenience. thank you for your concerns and understanding.

my beautiful wife sure can grow them...

son #1 (7 lbs. 11 oz. 20 in.) & son #2 (7 lbs. 8 oz. 20 in.)

up first is son #1:

directly from the operating room to the nicu...

a precautionary overnight oxygen party at the nicu...

the following day at the nursery without most of the tubes...

meeting his uncle gumbo...

already working his magic on grandma...

in the meantime, with son #2:

missing big brother with his beautiful mama...

his first nap in his papa's arms...

showing off his little pinoy nose...

scrawny legged and enjoying the new found space...

swaddled and content waiting for big brother...

to be continued tomorrow...

although this post has nothing to with my beautiful wife, i declare to the world that i love her and i can be cheesy as macaroni...

to those who have found it a little bit more difficult being a latter-day saint in california in this election season, the link below may be found useful. it is a talk given by elder robert d. hales this recent general conference.

http://www.lds.org/conference/talk/display/0,5232,23-1-947-22,00.html

although the talk was primarily aimed at the adversities of religious contentions, those of us living in california (and i include the denizens of arizona and florida due to their similar circumstances) may find the words of elder hales applicable to the political situations that we are entrenched in. remember, sticks and stones...
